Halo Engagement Rings

About & Features

Halo engagement rings are named after the halo of tiny diamonds that encircles the solitaire, emphasizing the brilliance and glow of the diamond and increasing the appearance of its size. These engagement rings are often in the style of glamorous antique or vintage rings, with ornate bands that accentuate the cut of the diamond.

The solitaire can be any cut, as long as the halo can surround the diamond closely. Pave set diamonds are usually used for the halo as they create the impression that the diamonds are floating. This engagement ring is very customizable, as the halo and the band can be designed to suit different styles and budgets. The band can be simple and elegant or embedded with diamonds for added fire and luxury.

Advantages

  • Halo enhances the appearance of the size and brilliance of the solitaire
  • Vintage style
  • Ornate band and setting
  • Platinum, yellow gold or white gold band
  • Curved wedding band can be created to fit and match the engagement ring
  • Luxurious
  • Striking

Downsides

As pave cut diamonds are often used for the halo and around the ring band, these engagement rings tend to be more expensive than other, simpler designs. If the ring is completely covered in smaller diamonds, this can also lessen the striking presence of the solitaire.
